Getting Started with your TX-E Device
Welcome to the TX-E family! Our products are designed to be simple and effective, delivering connectivity where others can't.
What you'll need
A laptop or desktop running Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, or Linux
Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser (Safari and Firefox are not supported)
A USB-C cable to connect your TX-E device
Setup steps
1. Connect your device Plug your TX-E device into your laptop or desktop using a USB-C cable.
2. Open the TX-E setup tool Visit tx-e.com.au/setup in Chrome or Edge and click Configure Device.
3. Select your device port Your browser will display a dialog asking you to select a port. Choose the port corresponding to your TX-E device and click Connect.
4. Choose your uplink mode Select either Long Range (WiFi HaLow) or Standard WiFi depending on your environment and the network you're connecting to.
5. Connect to your WiFi network Scan for available networks and select yours. Enter your network credentials when prompted — this becomes your uplink connection.
6. Set up your access point You'll be prompted to configure your local access point. If you selected Long Range HaLow as your uplink, this will broadcast as a standard WiFi hotspot for your devices to join.
7. Connect your devices That's it — you're all set! Connect your phone, TX-E products, or any other devices to the new network and you're good to go.
